Throat Surgery Complete

Well, my throat surgery went well, according to my doctors, on Tuesday morning. The procedure took about an hour, and I was ready to rock and roll by noon. Of course, I was a little groggy from the anestecia. I carried on my day like normal. Hell, I even went to the gym that evening.

Although it is frustrating trying to communicate (yell) at staff members, I do find it pretty enjoyable not being able to talk. No one really bothers me, which is pretty relaxing. If I could just get a back rub, I would be in Heaven.

I have signed the contract to buy a house here in town and we should be closing on the 31st. I’m pretty excited. I have a team of talented women (including my Mom) who are going to make the place beachy and comfortable. I just got to get cracking on some of the painting, tile, etc. Good thing I know some people who know some people.

I’ve been working on the latest wine list for Fifty Fifty lately. Its my biggest and most ambishious to date. Lots of big reds, and older vintage stuff. I came across a couple of Spanish Red’s from 1996 I’m excited about. They are grand reserva’s.

Other than that, just keeping a low profile. I just got a copy of the Rivers Cuomo album released in December. If you are not familiar, he is the front man for Weezer. From what I’ve read so far, should be as good as any Weezer album.

Update: This album blows, except for 4 tracks. Out of 18, this is not very good.
