March 2014

Hi All,

Greetings from my little corner of the Internet. The family and I have survived the worst record in recorded history in Indianapolis. And note: Just because we survived it once doesn’t make me want to do it again. It has been miserable cold and I have the worst case of cabin fever. Fortunately, we have had a weekend in the upper 40s and 50s. That may not sound like much, but it feels like its in the 80s after a winter of single digit weather.

I made an emergency trip home this past week to see my Grandmother, who will be passing on very soon. I am fortunate that the entire family got to gather with her and see her on one final “good” day. She told me she was happy on the inside and happy on the outside. She said that she was in no pain and ready to move on.

Although it was incredibly difficult to hear, I was glad she was at peace. She told us some funny stories, and said she wanted to be buried with a picture of her and Parker. I was very fortunate to live most of my life just 5 miles up the street from her. I love her very much and will miss her when she is gone. She has been the greatest Grandmother a guy could wish for.

Work is going well and we are in the process of upgrading many existing technologies. I am glad I get to continue to evolve with my career.

On other random notes, I am really excited to get a new fence at the house and get the crib power washed once it is warm outside.
