Hi All,
It has been over a year since my last update, but most of that is on purpose. Last January, Dena and I welcomed our daughter, Parker into the world. Hard to believe her 1st birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks. She is already so active…walking, babbling about “ducks”, and growing more hair than kids three times her age.
In the past year, I joined and left Sarcom, and started up Nine Virtual Technologies to help level the technological divide for Small Businesses and non-profits. It’s a cloud-based desktop hosting business, a sector of technology that I have been passionate about for well over 10 years.
Just last month, I accepted a position with RCI, which is the world’s largest time share property management company. I serve as an Enterprise Applications Engineer, specializing in Citrix, Lync, Enchange, and VMware. I also manage the support for our proprietary web-based applications as well.
I also have moved jpowell.org from its home for well over 10 years to its newest location with a web hosting company based out of Texas. Although visually, it looks nearly identical as it has over the past several years, I have updated a lot of the code that will allow it to be maintained more easily. I have made improvements to the Picture Gallery so I can add new pictures of Parker and the family.
The new upgrade has given me a renewed interest in maintaining this long neglected site.
