Hello All! Yes, its yours truly, J Powell bringing you another exciting update on who else…me! Yep, I can type again. My arm has healed up nicely, and I have only one more doctor’s appointment to go. I can now start the slow process of rehabilitation. I have nice arm movement, and I am getting more strength back every day. It’s going to be a while before I can get back full force.
So here’s what’s been going on over the past few weeks:
Hung out with my friend Jay Nichols at Atlantic Beach. He has been running a cool bar called J Dogg’s down there for a couple of years. I stopped by, drank some insanely expensive tequila, and took a body shot from one of the hottest blonde’s I’ve ever seen. Here body was so perfect; I couldn’t believe she wasn’t a stripper!
I started training at a nightclub and restaurant here in town in order to become what one may call a “jack of all trades”. I cook, clean, serve, and bartend. This is a great refresher, since the Green Room is slated to open in Norfolk within the next 12 to 16 months. Hampton Roads, get ready!
I’ve been hanging out with my friends from high school…John, Jeremy, Will, Harrison, Chris, Jessica, Melissa, Morgan, etc. It is truly awesome to reconnect with these people after a 7 year absence from the area.
Now that it is getting warm, I am biking and working out. I guess my arm has healed at a great time. Life is good and only getting better.
2003 was a hell of a year for many reasons. Now that we are into 2004 full swing, I have had time to analyze my past, present, and future. All I can say is “No Worries”. It used to be a college friend’s saying. I am glad to say that sums up my position in life quite nicely.

Oh, yeah…my birthday is in a few days, so mail me checks or presents. I sure could use the first season of Chappelle’s Show on DVD!
