Hello Friends, and welcome to another edition of “The Life and Times of J. Powell”. This week’s theme is titled “Looking Forward”.
After hitting a personally disappointing milestone last week by being outbid for the purchase of Peasant’s Caf, I am wasting no time getting my resume in shape and planning for an exciting career in music during 2003.
I am giving myself several months to save money and plan for the next milestone in my career. For those of you who know me best, the above statement represents a HUGE leap in personal development. My old mantra was to get pissed off and move to some other city where I believed better opportunity lied.
I am thinking about applying all of the hard work and knowledge gained from the failed Green Room experience to another venue in a different city and/or state.
Also, I am sending out resumes to various nightclubs and radio stations. I have narrowed my pursuit of music to talent buying/scouting and/or On Air slots at radio stations in the modern rock format.
I believe that failing acquisition of Peasant’s Cafe is a blessing in disguise. I’m excited to see what that blessing is, once the mask is removed 😉 Until next week, stay entertained.
