Life has been staying pretty busy in the Vain World of J Powell. I am scheduled to appear in Norfolk next week to defend my business proposal in front of the city council. I hit a snag in the process this week when I was informed the floor plans I submitted with the proposal would not be accepted. I am getting a copy of the blueprints for the new building tomorrow. Hopefully, I will be able to cash in a favor with some of my Auto-CAD savvy friends and get them to update my floor plans in time for the meeting.
This summer, I met an intriguing young woman here in town. She is a student at ECU & we’ve been hanging out quite a bit lately. It’s been exciting spending time with her. She is sweet, sensitive (in a good way), and extremely animated. We have a blast hanging out with each other, and I think we both serve as a much needed distraction in one another’s hectic schedules.
I have been slacking off on riding my bike lately, since it is windy as hell here. I’ve been watching hurricane after hurricane destroy Florida this season. I guess they are due up for a rough season. I know NC will be back up to bat with a real nasty one in a few years.
It’s been a dry month for new tunes, movies, or anything of that nature. I have been too distracted by work & Page for anything else new. When something does happen, believe me�all of you will be the first to know.
