Good. No Throat Cancer

Some of you may have heard a few weeks ago that “Papa P” had a little throat cancer scare. I am happy to say I am out of the woods on that one. For the past few months, my throat has been scratchy & I finally had the bad boy checked out. Turns out I have a cyst on one of my vocal chords & a hemorrhage in my throat. Scary stuff, for sure! So, the doctors have put me on limited speaking terms & are making me do exercises called “motorboats”. This is not problem for me, you ‘ole sailor, you!

Lately, I have become a bit of a Myspace fan. I still refuse to join, citing reasons such as owning my own freakin web domain! Hell, if I can’t keep this thing updated, what would I do with a Myspace site? However, I do luck up during lulls in dinner at the restaurant & get one of my employees to log me in under their account. That way, I can post witty, mean-spirited comments to employees I’ve fired.

Fall is around the corner & I’m excited, as business should be increasing. Summer is a very slow season here, as most of my customers head to the beach. I’ve only headed down to the beach twice this summer & plan to make a run for it in the next few weeks.

Also, I have the Sysco Food show in Greensboro during the month of September. I am excited, because I get to hang out with someone I’ve been dying to see since April.

The restaurant is keeping me busy. There are tons of advertising options being thrown my way, and I’m trying to make the best decisions possible. I really enjoy the challenges/pains it presents me on a daily basis. I’m sure when it is all said and done; I will look back on these times as the period I did the most “growing up”.

As an after thought, isn’t insane how “Crazy Bitch” by Buckcherry is just now getting attention around these parts over the past month? I must hear that song 5 times every night from the kids who are behind the times. Hell, I’ve had the song on the Jukebox since the beginning of the summer. Its time to give my Dredg albums a spin.
