October 2008

So I’ll skip the part where I too bitch about the economy, and go on to other things:

The weather in Wilson has been pretty awesome recently. I am trying to get my grass green again by fertilizing the hell out of it and planting some winter rye. It has also been a great time to ride bikes and go for walks around the neighborhood.

I got on a kick this past week working on my grandmother’s 1908 RCA record player (also known as a Victrola). I had the thing fixed after two days of playing with it, but it broke after I tried showing my dad it worked. I got a 100 year old grease stain on my shirt and sent it over to my boy Chuck for some Dry Cleaning. We should have taken a picture of it. I am sure it is the oldest stain he has removed to date.

Monday nights have been a disaster this month. I have this awesome jazz trio from Raleigh coming to play, but I end up cutting the night short. It just doesn’t make any sense having them play if no one is here. I hope people come out to enjoy them before the month is up.

I have some pictures from Robert’s wedding I will post soon. I found them online, but they are pretty funny.
